I have some college and no degree. Would it be helpful or harmful to put the authors and titles of the relevant books I’ve in my resume?

It is my opinion that this type of information is not relevant. that is unless you have Absolutely nothing else to put on a resume.
It may seem as if you were just trying to fill up space. Take a look at the resume templates on Microsoft office online, they have great out lines that you can follow.
Definitely include employment history, job descriptions, all schools attended , even if you did not graduate. Yes definitely put the college you attended and the dates of attendance.
You could put personally interests at the botton but I again would not.
Try searching Google for ” free resume examples”‘ they do have samples for entry level, and returning to job force.
There are many books that have examples of reumes that are eye catching . perhaps go to your local Barnes and Noble or Borders and see if they have one. I have a great reference titled ‘the perfect resume” by Ton Jackson . I purchased it when i graduated and got many call backs using formats shown.
Good luck

Probably not useful.
If you’re talking about books you’ve read to develop skills, list the skills you’ve developed without listing the book. If you’re talking about books like Seven Habits of Highly Effective People, or Five Disfunctions of a Team, they don’t belong on a resume. You can discuss their influence on you in a cover letter, if appropriate.
If your college courses focused on a specific area, you can mention that area after you list the school you attended.

A prospective employer would be more interested in how you can be an asset to the company. You should focus on your work experience and skills and, more importantly, the accomplishments.
